Rondevlei
Rondevlei is situated in the Western Cape, South Africa. It is a wonderful way to relax and get away from the every day hustle and bustle of the city lifestyle. Rondevlei is a beautiful and popular Nature Reserve which was established in 1952. The area is stunning and boasts majestic views. There is something for every member of the family including a relaxed picnic on the beach. The Reserve has up to 230 different species of birds and a variety of other wildlife from the Cape Clawless Otter, the Cape Grey Mongoose and many other small animals.
There is also a museum where you can learn about the wildlife and the fauna and flora in the area.
The Reserve is open daily and also offers overnight stays at the Island Bush Camp. Don’t miss out on this great adventure in a wonderful environment.
Attractions:
Another very interesting and beautiful visit nearby, is the Wilderness National Park. This Park stretches from Touwsrivier to the Swartvlei Estaury. It offers a diverse birdlife as well as smaller animals, so don’t forget your camera. There is lots to see and do at the Park including canoeing, waterskiing, fishing, boardsailing, abseiling, kloofing, paragliding, hang gliding and a variety of hiking trails are available to enjoy the beauty that surrounds this area.
The Hoekwil Hoopla Route is another great getaway. It is a 30km circular motor route and offers scenic Serpentine Mountain Pass with so much to see and enjoy.
The Garden Route Mall is nearby Rondevlei and is where you will be able to enjoy some shopping. It is a one-stop shopping experience with everything from Woolworths and Pick ‘n Pay to Clicks to mention only a few.
