Bishopscourt is usually described in terms of exclusivity and prestige and indeed this is one of "the" leafy, green suburbs in southern Cape Town. It nestles in the slopes of Table Mountain and properties in the area are large with beautiful gardens and jaw-dropping views of the mountain and surrounding lush vegetation. Bishopscourt is only ten minutes drive to the city centre and V&A Waterfront and on the doorstep of the Constantia Wine Route and famous Kirstenbosch Gardens.
Bishopscourt offers easy access to beaches on both the Indian and Atlantic oceans. Kirstenbosch, on a clear day, has gorgeous panoramic views over False Bay and there are a number of hikes in the area, including the more sedate Constantia Nek walk with viewpoints over the winelands and ocean. Bishopscourt makes an excellent base from which to explore Groot and Klein Constantia, Steenberg, Buitenverwachting and Constantia Uitsig and the surrounding valley is seeped in history.
