La Paloma
La Paloma is a modern upmarket area which forms part of Blaauwberg Conservation Area. It is only 30km away from Cape Town International Airport.
Attractions:
La Paloma is close to Big Bay beach where you can go surfing or windsurfing. From the white sands of Big Bay beach you can appreciate the magnificent views of Table Mountain and Robben Island. Not far from La Paloma the whole family can enjoy the Grand West Casino and Entertainment World where you can ice skate, play a game of Tenpin Bowling or dine at a choice of fine restaurants. Through the month of January you can experience the colourful and festive event of the Minstrel Carnival when there is a true celebration in carnival style to welcome the new year. This street carnival starts in District Six with singing and dancing and different events during the week and weekends take place in Cape Town. For nature lover, you can get on your bike or put on your hiking boots and participate in one of the many trails in the Koeberg Nature Reserve that is nearby La Paloma.
