Attractions: The Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve is nearby where you can enjoy hiking trails through the fynbos-covered Langeberg hillside. Barrydale is a farming village where throughout the different seasons you will find an abundance of seasonal fruits such as apples, pears, oranges, apricots, figs, peaches and grapes. Adjascent to the Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve, you will find the beautiful Boosmansbos Wilderness Area with rugged mountains which attract eagle and many different birds of prey. Barrydale also hosts the annual Barrydale Spring Festival in October which is popular amongst the locals and many people come from far too enjoy in this beautiful event. Barrydale also hosts the Joseph Barry Tradouw Half Marathon which is a 21km course through the pass.
