This quiet reserve is located in the heart of the Little Karoo near the Bree River. The flora mainly consists of succulents, dwarf trees and various shrubs.
Wildlife consists of a few antelope, mainly springbok grysbok, klipspringer, and grey rhebuck. The Robertson dwarf chameleon is endemic to the region. Nearly 200 birds have been recorded in the area, including fish eagles, jackal buzzard and goshawk.
Several hiking trails have been laid out across the reserve, ranging from 3 - 19 km in length. The Karoo can be very hot, so if hiking during the summer, be sure to head out early. There is also an 8 km mountain bike trail.
