Fernkloof Estate is a residential village estate which surrounds the 27 hole Hermanus Golf Club and was launched in 2004. The estate is situated in the historic holiday village of Hermanus, the world renowned land based whale watching site, and is nestled under the Fernkloof Nature Reserve, boasting spectacular views from all aspects.
The estate comprises 330 wholly owned residential properties in 6 different villages which are situated within or on the perimeter of the newly constructed Matkovich and Heyes 27 hole golf course. All of these villages, with the exception of precinct 1, have a central access security point and all properties have direct access onto the course via cart paths after golfing hours.
Careful attention to detail has been given in the creation and positioning of the six individual villages, offering a variety of golf, sea and mountain views and private open spaces in each village. The environmentally friendly landscaping on the perimeter and within each village is harmonious with the magnificent natural surrounding environment.
Fernkloof Estate offers people the opertunity to stay within one of the walled and gated security guarded villages whilst enjoying the beauty of the surrounding golf course and the vistas that so characterise Hermanus.
The estate is an hours drive from Cape Town, which allows you to feel connected yet worlds apart from the hectic urban pace. The estate also offers glorious views of the surrounding Atlantic Ocean and Olifantsberg Mountains.
