Faerie Glen is less than half and hour from the airport which makes is convenient for national and international visitors.
Attractions:
The Pioneer Museum in Silverton is an interesting day out for the whole family where you can watch and learn how they demonstrate how they grind the wheat, bake bread, roast coffee, make candles and perhaps lend a hand at milking. The museum is also available for functions or you may just relax and enjoy a Victorian picnic with the family. One of the most popular, historical buildings in Pretoria would be the Union Building which is not open to the public but admired by visitors from the beautiful surrounding gardens. The buildings are known to be a symbol to represent the unity of the two cultures since the Anglo Boer War. Also while visiting Faerie Glen you could take a trip to the Sammy Marks Museum, a beautiful Victorian Style House with parts of the original farm which dates back from 1880 to 1920. There is a tea garden where you can enjoy a quiet lunch or you can enjoy a Victorian picnic with the whole family and even attempt a game or croquet.
Climate:
Faerie Glen enjoys a moderate climate with warm summer days and cooler evenings with most rain as afternoon thunderstorms. The winter months are cool to very cold.
